" So, if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation;  everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!"

2 Corinthians 5:17 New Revised Standard Version

When springtime comes, it seems like the whole world puts on its Sunday best!  Flowers start blooming with bright colors.  Trees that had bare buds begin sprouting green leaves.  some will start bursting with apples, peaches and other delicious fruits.  We even get into the action as we breakout with short-sleeved shirts, short sleeved blouses, short shorts, swimsuits or other warm weather clothes that make us feel cool and comfortable.

Springtime os nature's reminder that everything is new once again with the world.  God does not need to rely on the change of seasons to bring about new things.  God sent God's Son, Jesus Christ, to create a new relationship between us and God.  We do not need to rely on our own behavior to earn God's love.  God has given is the gift of faith in Jesus that makes us new.

We have a new relationship with God!  Jesus shows us just how much God really loves us!  We have a new understanding for how we should love ourselves!  This new self-understanding helps us love one another!  Our new relationship with God allows us to live with a new sense of purpose as Jesus' disciples.

These new gifts from God are ours for the asking.  Let us not deny ourselves any longer.  Instead, let us open our hearts and minds.  Let us go to Jesus, so we can receive Gods new gifts for every area of our lives!
